Claudio Fäh is a Swiss-American film and television director based in Los Angeles, known for his commanding visual style and ability to blend genre craft with genuine character depth.

His work spans survival thrillers, action features, and prestige television — from the shark-infested waters of No Way Up to the acclaimed Swiss detective series Wilder, praised for its nuanced performances and atmospheric tension.


Biography

His most recent feature, Turbulence, starring Olga Kurylenko, Jeremy Irvine, Hera Hilmar and Kelsey Grammer, was released worldwide and distributed in the U.S. by Lionsgate. His previous action thriller, No Way Up, released into theaters in February 2024 and became a worldwide commercial success, starring Colm Meaney and Phyllis Logan. Most recently, he directed Tatort: Könige der Nacht, which aired to strong ratings and was met with widespread critical acclaim and strong audience response across Germany and Switzerland.

Before that, he directed the critically acclaimed fourth season of Switzerland’s Nordic noir TV series hit Wilder, which aired to record ratings and rave reviews in 2022.
Earlier works include the action-adventure Northmen – A Viking Saga, starring Ed Skrein, Tom Hopper and Ryan Kwanten; two installments of the Sniper franchise for Sony’s Stage 6 Films — Sniper: Reloaded, which revived the series, and Sniper: Ultimate Kill, which reunited Tom Berenger and Billy Zane on screen. Additional credits include the WWII thriller Beyond Valkyrie for Sony, Hollow Man 2 starring Christian Slater, and producing credits on Starship Troopers: Marauder and The Hole.
